CAN AI MAKE US MORE HUMAN?

Will AI free us humans from work and enable us to fulfill Aristotle's vision of pursuing the good life or will it enslave us in a 1984-Matrix-type world? I am a tech optimist and believe AI is a tool we have to employ to our benefit.
